Beautiful Bianca married her prince charming, Dean, in a fairytale illusion-back gown from Brides of Somerset.
The ceremony and reception was held at Hudson’s on Vredenheim Wine Estate in Stellenbosch and was captured by the talented Justin Davis.
A perfect day requires the perfect gown –
Bianca knew she wanted to walk down the aisle in a lace dress, but needed advice on the perfect fit to flatter her figure.
For this reason she turned to Averil Chowles for advice and after spotting Brides of Somerset’s “gorgeous gowns” online, she immediately made a booking.
“After pinning hundreds of dresses on Pinterest since 2014, I soon realized that I wanted a swan-style dress and conveyed this to Averil during our consultation.
Averil helped me to find the type of dress that flattered my body shape best.
On top of that she also showed my maid of honour exactly how she should go about dressing me on the day, what we should and shouldn’t do and how to bustle the dress.”
When asked how she knew it was the one, Bianca explained:
“I cried when I saw myself in the dress, knowing that it was The One.
It was the first time I really felt like a bride.
I loved everything about the dress – from the illusion back to the beautiful, delicate lace details and fabric on my gorgeous train.
I just love the fact that it’s a dramatic dress. It simply was the dress of my dreams!
Nowadays brides often decide to hire their wedding gowns instead of purchasing them.
Let’s face it – weddings are pricey and we try to cut costs where possible.
However, Bianca felt she wanted a lifetime reminder of the happiest day of her life.
“Eventhough my husband isn’t as sentimental as me, he also wanted me to keep my dress.
I dream of a great day in the future when perhaps I have a daughter and I can show her the dress her mom got married in.”
When Dean saw her walk down the aisle, he was blown away.
“He said it was even more amazing than anything he could have envision me wearing for our special day and that it was the style of dress he hoped I would wear.
He really loved it and even just took a moment to appreciate the detail of the dress and the illusion back.”
To wrap up the perfect day Bianca and her groom snuck out for a sunset shoot.
They had time to talk to each other and have fun with the photos and just enjoy the moment as a newly married couple.
“I must also say, that having my dress photographed, especially from the back, was so fun – I knew the photos were going to be absolutely stunning!”
