Teneil and Brad

Teneil and Brad Page tied the knot at a romantically intimate venue just outside Stellenbosch, South Africa.
Before stepping down the elegant isle at Brenaissance Wine & Stud Estate, she needed the perfect wedding dress to make him weak at the knees.

We asked her to share her love story and experience of finding that perfect gown with us.

Q: What was the most enjoyable thing about getting your dress from Brides of Somerset?
A) This is an easy one, the passion and enthusiasm shown throughout the process by Averil made each fitting that much more magical!

Q: How did you know that your dress was ‘the one’
A) The minute I put it on and everyone in the room went quiet and emotions became clearly apparent! Seeing my mom and sisters eyes fill with tears took my breath away and I knew that there was no turning back!

Q. How did you feel wearing your internationally imported wedding gown?
A) I once read a book called the ‘Travelling Dress’ where each and every character that wore it was transported to a magical place! My dress made me feel exactly like this – like I was floating! I have never felt more beautiful:)

Q: Did you need any alterations, accessories or further advice? Was Brides of Somerset helpful in assisting you with any of these?
A) My dress was originally a one-shoulder which I opted to change to a boob tube! Averil altered the dress herself. Throughout the process, she took every bit of critique and advice like a true professional and it fitted me like a glove in the end!  I also decided to add a ribbon decal to my waist which Averil advised me on and matched perfectly to the design and style of my dress! Each and every bit of advice or any extras that I needed was made available and always with a smile!

Q: Did your hubby love your dress?
A) I will never forget his face when he saw me walking down the isle, I didn’t have to ask if he loved it because this moment spoke volumes and always will!
